Fort Valley - Marcie J. Barnett, 78, died Saturday, May 12, 2012. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Born in Jackson, Michigan, to the late Karl Owen Vincent and Elsie Taber Vincent, Mrs. Barnett was a former manager with Holiday Inn and attended Harmony Community Church. Survivors include her children, Charles Alfred "Bo" Emery (Lavonne) of Marian, NC, Craig A. Emery (Christy) of Fort Valley and Chester Aaron "Chet" Emery of Bristol, TN; grandchildren, Cathy Heller, Keith Emery, Ashley Emery, Hunter Emery, Jessie Emery, Marcie Emery, Brandon Hurst, Savanna Jo Hurst and Chuck Emery; greatgrandchildren, Will Emery, Haley Emery and Addison Emery; sister, Dorothy Paulda and sister-in-law, Bertha Vincent of Manten, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Youth Group of Harmony Community Church, 3085 Houser's Mill Road, Byron, GA 31008. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
