Fort Valley - Jack C. Rogers, 72, died Friday, June 8, 2012. Services will be held at 11AM on Monday, June 11, 2012, at First Baptist Church, 209 South Miller Street in Fort Valley with Rev. Daniel Stubbs and Rev. Ed McQueen officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6PM to 8PM on Sunday, June 10, 2012, at Rooks Funeral Home, 213 West Church Street in Fort Valley. Born in Rupert to the late Elmer Harold Rogers and Mary Lizzie Cooper Rogers, Mr. Rogers was retired from Robins Air Force Base and a member of First Baptist Church of Fort Valley and the Frank Withoft Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Dean P. Rogers of Fort Valley; their children, Ricky and Peggy Rogers and Jeff Rogers of Fort Valley; grandchildren, Cliff and Alisha Rogers of Byron, Amanda Rogers and Randy Rogers of Fort Valley; greatgranddaughter, Brianna Lynn Rogers; and sisters, Mary Jane Rogers Sawyer Lovick of Reynolds, Nita Rogers Brake of Abbeville, Alabama, and Mozelle Rogers Alt of Crestview, Florida. He is preceded in death by brothers, Frank Harold Rogers, Roy Maude Rogers and Willie Rubin Rogers and sisters, Rachel Louise Rogers Hobbs and Marie Rogers Rodgers.
