Fort Valley - Stephen Michael Martin, 25, died Saturday, June 23, 2012. A Scripture Service will be held at 6:00PM on Wednesday, June 27, 2012, at St.Juliana Catholic Church, 804 MLK Jr. Blvd. in Fort Valley. Immediately following this service, the family will receive visitors from 7:00PM til 9:00PM at St. Juliana Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:00AM on Thursday, June 28, 2012, at St. Juliana Catholic Church with committal following at Oaklawn Cemetery. Father Nicholas Mansell will officiate. Born in Warner Robins, Stephen was employed at Westbury Electrical and a member of St. Juliana Catholic Church. He loved being with his son, Gavin, and enjoyed fishing. Survivors include his wife, Jennifer Anne Martin of Fort Valley, son, Gavin Barefield, father, Tracy Martin and wife Sandra of Perry, mother, Lesley Martin of Fort Valley, sister, India Martin of Fort Valley, grandparents, Floyd and Louise Martin of Dublin and Doreen Hipple of Fort Valley, stepbrothers, Garrett Graves and Cameron Ekland, stepsister, Shannon Ekland, and numerous other loving family members and friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert Hipple. Rooks Funeral Home in Fort Valley is in charge of arrangements.
