Byron, GA - William Elbert "Bill" Wooten, 68, died Friday, August 3, 2012. Graveside services with full military honors will be held at 11:00AM on Monday, August 6, 2012, in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens, 7070 Houston Road in Macon with Pastor Joe Eyler officiating. Family will greet friends from 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Sunday, August 5, 2012, at Rooks Funeral Home, 109 West White Road in Byron. Born in Jacksonville, Georgia, to the late Omer Elbert Wooten and Annie Mae Towns Wooten, Mr. Wooten was retired from the United States Air Force and served in Vietnam. After retirement, he continued his work as a civilian in quality control at Robins Air Force Base. He loved fishing and spending time on the farm. Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Trijntje "Tina" Wooten, their children, Suzette Ghent (Paul) of Wakefield, Kansas, Tina Causey (Chris) of Byron and Renee Wooten (Ashley) of Hawkinsville; grandchildren, Quinton, Noah, Kaitlyn, Kristina, Cooper, Devin, Donovan and Maria; brother, Jim Wooten (Ann) of Smyrna, and sisters, Joyce Jump (Ernest)of Fort Valley, Betty Bush and Rita Galloway of Macon and Debbie Wood (David) of Clarksville, TN. He is preceded in death by a grandson, C.J. Causey. Donations may be made to Ekklesia of the Word, 1519 Leverett Road, Warner Robins, GA 31088.
